Universal Wall Connector for Any EV

Tesla makes two home chargers. The standard Wall Connector serves Tesla plugs. The Universal Wall Connector adds a built-in J1772 connector, so it charges any EV on the road. If your driveway has mixed brands, this is the one. Here is how it works.

What makes it universal

The Universal Wall Connector carries both connector types. A J1772 plug for most EVs on the road today, and the Tesla connector for Tesla vehicles. One charger handles the whole driveway.

Who it suits

It fits homes with more than one EV brand, drivers who expect to switch brands later, and anyone who wants the charger to stay useful through the next car. It also adds flexibility at resale.

How it installs

It installs the same as a standard Wall Connector. A 240-volt circuit, a panel capacity check, and a clean cable run. We pull the permit and handle the inspection.

Standard or Universal

An all-Tesla household saves a little with the standard Wall Connector. A mixed-brand household is better served by the Universal. We help you choose before anything gets ordered.
