How the calculator works.

The base range is $1,000 to $3,500 all-in for a home Level 2 EV charger installation. Hardware runs $300 to $1,500. Labor runs $500 to $1,500. Permits add $100 to $300. The calculator narrows that range based on the four biggest variables.

Panel headroom is the single largest swing. A panel without room for a 240V dedicated circuit needs an upgrade first, which adds $1,500 to $4,000 of panel work. We always quote the panel separately on the line-item bid.

Distance from the panel drives conduit and labor. Less than 10 feet is the cheapest case. Runs over 30 feet add materials and time. Trenching or second-story runs add another bucket of labor.

The estimate is a planning tool, not a binding quote. Final price comes back on the line-item bid after we see photos of your panel and the install location.
